So far things have been going really well over the course of the last month or so in regards to me posting in and publicizing this blog, after my sojourn from doing so for over half a year. To be fully transparent with whatever regular readership this receives, there won't be a new post proper this week and maybe next just due to too much going on in my life; it was my 42nd birthday this past Thursday and this weekend has turned out to be a very busy one with numerous friends in town for the AEW "Dynasty" pay-per-view and numerous other shows being run here in correlation with it. I have already taken notes on and started outlines for the next two matches however (and boy are they a mixed bag) so you can expect those to come out sometime soon.
Speaking of my birthday however; I made a post this past Thursday on my birthday itself reminiscing on the aforementioned set of Billy Bragg covers that I played in a basement in Bellingham, WA 10+ years that I mentioned in last week's blog entry, mostly pertaining to the fact that to this day it's the only time I had ever performed musically as a solo artist. I took this opportunity as a jumping off point to finally share publicly that I'm working on new material under the moniker 'West Texas State', sharing a specific Instagram handle that I had created for the project (@westtexasisthereason, please follow it if you don't already) as well as a vague plan to my goals of recording a 6 song EP and playing shows "during the next 365 days, of my 43rd year on Earth."
So yeah, that's all for this week - just a short interlude from your regularly schedule program to share with those who may not be in the know about all the various irons in the fire that I hope will materialize proper in the next little while; I'll hopefully be back next week.
